A Texas Stock Tank Pool Deck Tour
Our next stock tank pool tour is one that y’all lost your mind about at the beginning of this summer! What made you want a stock tank pool? Living in Texas you NEED a pool to be outside in the summer. I didn’t want to go into debt over an in-ground pool and wanted something more durable than a typical above ground pool. The stock tank is perfect for our needs being affordable and durable.
What is your favorite thing about your stock tank pool and surrounding space? I love how it ties into the surrounding landscape. I already had the galvanized metal used in my pergola and chicken coop and the galvanized STP flows well. I also have cacti landscaped in the backyard and the STP looks amazing situated in the middle of the cacti.
Did you build your deck right away or was that an addition? Built the deck right away.
How long did it take you to set yours up? 1 day to build the deck. ½ day to level and connect the STP.
Have you had any issues? zero issues.
How do you keep your pool clean? Filter pump runs automated for 6hrs a day. Chlorine float with 3- 1 inch chlorine tabs added weekly. Daily skimming with a net. Once a month there may be dirt or sand on the bottom of the pool, I use a shopvac to suck it up.
How often do you use your pool? I’ve used it every day this summer!
Do have any more upgrades planned? Possible propane conversion for the winter
What’s your favorite thing about your stock tank pool? Laying out having a cold beer
What is your favorite pool accessory? Lounge chair
What’s the most people you’ve had in your pool? Six adults
